Council To Act Against Church

East Herts Council is set to take enforcement action against Hertford Town Church over an unauthorised shed.

The shed was erected on the church's lawn at the corner of Cowbridge and Hartham Lane last Summer.

A planning officer subsequently visited the church and advised that they should submit a planning application as the church was in a conservation area.

A planning application was submitted later in the year and in February this year the application was turned down.

However, the shed remains in place and planning officers are now recommending that enforcement action be taken to have the shed removed.
