Snow Disrupts Town

Schools have closed and cars abandoned after up to 4cm of snow fell during Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Simon Balle and Richard Hale were closed and will remain shut tomorrow.

Cars were abandoned at the bottom of Port Hill after failing to make the ascent to Bengeo. There were also a number of minor accidents around the town, although the A414 was quiet for most of the day, as was the town centre.
