Maidenhead Street assault
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an alleged assault in Hertford town centre recently.

A 21-year-old man from the town had been walking on Maidenhead Street with his girlfriend when two men approached them close to the former McDonalds restaurant.
Following an exchange of words an alleged altercation took place, leaving the 21-year-old with serious facial injuries, including a broken jaw, which required surgery.
The incident occurred between 11.45pm on Sunday 25th August and 12.15am on Bank Holiday Monday 26th.
DC Neil Lancey, from the Hertford Local Crime Unit, said: "I'd like to speak to anyone who saw this incident or either of the parties involved in the time leading up to it. A 20-year-old man from Tewin has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and released on bail while the investigation continues.
